I live now only in dreams of reality.
Spinning shades of deep red and metallic gray,
I wallow in the memory of your scent.
As I stick out my tongue and taste you on my lips,
In fantasy you taste me too
And know that we are undeniably one.
But it hurts too much
Because I am awake
And The heavens are closed.
The angels are silent.
We have chosen to part.

it seems to me
that is the way
my life is to be!
Hugs and blessings.
your words ring so loudly true
Always feel the depth from which you write.
Good stuff
Blessings and best wishes - S.
Yes, I do grieve with you, with this poem but you have been to the pinnacle and something tells me to there you will return though it may be with another. God Bless.

another snippet.
You paint the sky with sorrow. Your last 3 lines sum up this thought with ever longing on a grand scale shown in your choice of descriptions.
You touched my bones with this snippet~gently but deeply~you touched my core
a fatal twist of words, like a knife...
simple, blissful, and crushing!
Those last lines are beautiful!
Enjoying the comments.
Very nice
I hope you do a Snippets Edit on this Shelbia and place this over in Snippets ~ "Where WE WRITE in "30" words or less, and delete the rest." . . . .
I'd like to SEE how you would edit this to bring this to 30 words.
The Snippets Crew awaits YOU!
I'm reading your poetry for the first time today. This is so poignant. If you have ever lost a love, you know that pain that seems that it will never end. You have expressed it so gently that it is not raw, but yet it is full of emotion. Thank you.
