During the chest compressions on concrete. Twice.
On carpet in homes. Neighbors, not hospice patients. Let's see.
Gunshot once. Stroke. Thats two. Baby respiratory arrest.
Three times there at my elbow.
Linoleum.
Hospital beds. Back boards.
I haven't forgotten a single one.
Then there were the hospice deaths.
The hands held. Maybe you kept count.
Anyway thanks for being there
At my elbow.

Thank you Flit.
Spilling out in dark places helping
Souls make their way back to the
Creator of us all.
You haven't forgotten one. Your memories give them life. Again.
