Divine Dance
(To Bhawana's picture..

)
It is inside us;
you have seen it;
known it;
but have not understood.
He has dreamed of it several times.
A small figurine, smooth metal skin,
in a dancing mood. He has seen it.
perhaps in some oriental shop
the dancing god appeared at first
and then his dream picked up the god’s rhythm.
He looks for the metal god’s dancing mode
in encyclopedias, in books,
in annals and in dusty shop panes.
He has seen it once. He wants again.
He can always feel the need to dance
like it, to fall into the divine steps.
The rhythm by which flowers’ petals spread;
universe does run and hate blend in love.
It is within him and amidst us.
He can see it through the looking glass.

Thank you so much for this unforgettable poem.
I especially love this line. So simply stated and so true!
Feautred in the Triple Name Club.
Wanting something is not enough. You must hunger for it. Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariably come your way.
In the end, it is the person you become, not the things you have achieved, that is the most important.
