In search of Him
“Today you shall find God.”
A voice in dream proclaims.
With the rain of shine he wakes
in the morning, takes a bath.
The voice has made him alert.
He sees the birds on the porch;
can one of them be God?
He chuckles; fixes his tie.
Has not every office day
same face and same attire?
Still he looks at the person
sitting beside him in tube
dozing to celebrate life.
Is he God or at least seraph?
Ticket? He looks at the man,
the lean, forlorn conductor.
Is…..
The vagabond asks, “Money?”
He this day subscribe to faith;
puts a coin on the tramp’s palm.
“God bless you.” He says….Is he?
He searches on the face
of the colleagues, peons…
on the shape of the bread
on dogs, trees and pigeons…
at night the dream speaks again
“Today you had met Him, son.”
Suddenly he understands.
