lol, i once got dressed in the dark, jim, went out for the day.....looked down when someone laughed, and had on one cobalt blue sock, and one very bright green one..
made it my trademark for a couple of years,lol....

This rictameter of yours gives such class to such a common - everyday- we all get hit with this problem. Thank you for this smile, Jim. ! Love it... but what if our sock drawers were equipted with a nice little light that turns on when you open the drawer? Then blue wouldn't look so much like black. Oh, well...

Only that anything mismatched is contrasted and tends to jar the senses--pleasantly and otherwise. Plaid with stripes, blue suit with brown socks, peanut butter on bananas, Bach in the living room, Elvis down the hall . . . stuff like that. I'll check out your rictameters asap. I love to read your work.

Hmm. I think I've seen lighted dresser drawers at that, CoffeeLady. Thank you for the nice comment.

Ha! Jim, I've dealt with mismatched socks, but something even worse, for me, because of my rush, I wore mismatched shoes to church, once! I didn't notice, til midway of the service. You can bet, I wished I'd sat much closer to the door!:)

In my experience, they're always plucked mismatched from the washing machine. Spouse complains at 7pm, but really can't tell the difference again at 7am.
