The Heavens have gone gone dark as the thunder clouds pack up above our heads. Is that why I wrote this poem? Let me think about that.
Oh God to feel
Alive once more
Just to love and laugh
God I'll take the pain
But then please give me
A full taste of life
My laughter's turned to tears
And here I stand alone
As the tears roll down
Let me drink wine
Even if tears fall down
And make the bubbles sigh
But God allow me then to laugh
And let me dance once more
And let me feel the sun and moon
Yes, you always gave me friends
That were ever there for me
Who understood and let me be
I know that with all my heart
That you have plans for me
And for that I can now smile
And I can look up at the sky.

Fred, You are good for the soul. I am very glad I spotted your poem.
I especially like the last 4 lines. I cling to the knowledge that He has plans for me too.
Keep on looking up. Life is best viewed with optimism.
leaving the reader a bit of hope at the very end.
My best wishes to you across the sea.
But God allow me then to laugh
And let me dance once more
And let me feel the sun and moon
This stanza in particular I think displays the circumference of your spirit - willing to accept the pain, but no less longing for the fullness of life. Marvelous.
I'm sending wishes that any doldrums you may have are quickly banished by just a serenity and peace.
love and light
Forgive me for not having commented on your work for a month. I was away on a rather tragic mission, tending for a very sick friend who died of brain cancer. I just got back to Spain last week. I´ll try to catch up with a few of your articles the next few days, buddy.
I know you are busy with your book but you always amaze me with your kind visits and delightful comments...Your presence leaves remarks of love, affection and knowledge...
Regards
and Thanks:)
This is such a beautiful, touching and inspirational poem.....it invokes images and scenes of life in the real sense of it. But then thats what we expect from caring, highly perceptive soul like yours.
Thanks so much for dropping by 100 worder for Reena's group. I know I'm not here that much anymore but Bhawana and Reena have managed to hook me on to this drabble thing...lets see how far it goes...as you must have realised that the story I wrote is a scene i expect from my future...bless me so that my future may hold that special sunday tradition I want to start.
If there is truly a trace,a shred of reality i this poem of sorrow please know that you are so well loved and appreciated here..

This is a sad poem. It seems as if we are at times without joy or feeling.
It is winter here. Cold and bitter weather , it is a time that many people find themselves in a sea of sad despair.
Remember Fred spring and the sun are just around the corner.
