When one reads Amy’s delightful Recycling Words (or The Big Secret, one is left with inspiration to cleanse their vocabulary and try again to string appropriate (and shiny) marks across a page.

For better or worse, Amy, here is a short tercet in tribute to your idea and your ongoing quest.

 

New or Used

 

Bring clean, magic words
From your mind to the page--
Recycle often

This poem is crisp and refreshing, Jim, like the newly dry cleaned, pressed and serviceable soldier's uniform. I reminds me that sometimes I am a bit of a perfectionist and I like to have a clear mind and conscience when starting on a work of importance or value to me. Therefore, my mind must be open and willing to use worn down tools and old materials to restore or build something that is new.

What a totally witty receipe for communicating! What good are our words if we don't (1) Dust them off once in a while (2) Polish them all new & shiney (3) and send them out into the words -- with a smile...
