How can I long
For what should be mine?
How can I find
What I already know?
Are there different clouds
Over different seas?
Are there sands
That are more golden?
All I know now is this
There's a verse that I must read.
There's a greater love
Far beyond words I've known
There's a greater love
Far beyond my sensuous caresses
Now no longer a perfect dream
But a fire
A dancing whirling dervish
Blown by the mistral of my dreams.

Hugs and blessings - S.
this is such a beautiful poem... and makes me respect the person who says these words... there is a humility here that is so endearing...
This is something new and so beautiful from you, Fred!
Here's to many more such soul-searing poems from you, Fred!
Charlotte
Fred, an emotional transcendence.
Oh yes Vinay. We have tasted great beauty but our senses are not yet able to savour true beauty. I think.
Bless you Shruthi. Your respect is highly prized. I'm glad that you are able to give it to me.
Yes my eyes have been opened...now I know that I know not. I know that there is more. I know that there is a great beauty called understanding that is elusive. One sees so little of it in the world.
I will enter the world of eternal suffering but it seems to filled with joy as well. Some times I get glimpses and I'm left in awe.
Earthly squabbles, betrayals, hatefulnesses and jealousies seem to be irrelevant when that unread verse is slowly revealed to one line by line.
Thank you for your visit Fatima and your precious enlightenment.
Thank you Cheryl. I'm glad that you saw the special beauty and meaning.
I loved what you wrote Payam. Thanks for the hug. Yes Fatima has this wonderful knowledge that seems to come to her from the infinite.
Yes I do try to reach out and I do have a universality in my heart.
I feel at home anywhere in the world.
Thanks for being there Bill.
Aha Reena. I'm so glad that you felt the beauty of the quest.
Thank you for your wishes. I'll try and live up to them.
An awakening of the spirit, Tom? A moving vision of transcedence? Eternal truth and meaning? Yes Tom you've understood what I'm trying to say. I thank you for that.
I know tat you too are on this path.
Hi Marge
I see that you've added another comment below. I'll respond to you there.
I understand what you are telling me. Isn't there a book called the Pilgrims Progress. Aren't we all pilgrims progreesing along a path. Thinking that we know all there is but so often surprised by another beautiful experience.
I've found that by reading the Bible over and over, I discover more and more. My poem is about wanting to discover more and more.
Wonderful poem, Fred, I enjoyed it immensely.
I've written about this awareness and an immersion in the emotion and feelings that still lie ahead. You've seen this clearly.
There's always more Sheila. Always more and always more beautiful. Thank you.
I appreciate your kind words Yvonne. They motivate me. Thank you.
Yes Anne. They were meant to be powerful. We all need to think of taking another step along our path. Bless you.
Marge please be assured that I won't discard any lessons learned. They are my foundation. It's on them that I build.
Hello Elizabeth. I'm so glad that we can share these emotions and aims. Thank you for your visit. It did something for me.
Thank you Atticus. One merely writes what's in your heart. Thank you for your first visit. Please come again.
DANIELLA
As long as human heart has an unending quest to know and explore there will be a reason to create and love ... there is so much to experience and make a part of your soul in this world that even 1000 years is less time, in that sea we are all leaving our foot prints also , for others to see long after we are gone like we remember many others ...
life is an eternal teacher and the way you have travelled , and experienced life in its best and worst , savoured its taste and asked for more ....I see it in your words ...rich with wisdom yet exploring more as life still has got more to offer
I'm glad that yoy know about the never ending quest.. Yes even a 1000 years is not enough. Even when you're old, you'll discover new wonders. It's as if a new wonder opens doors to other wonders.
I loved your comments. Bless you.
For the sake of all of us forget the word beautiful. Especially here. My poem was not meant to be beautiful.
Did the poem not make you feel more and feel deeper? Did the words not make you feel the fire too?
You express so well this yearning for oneness with the divine.
(Seek and ye shall find)
I enjoyed this very much.
Yo've understood every word that I wrote. Bless you for that. our comment was warm and meanngful. Thank you.
