The sleeping cat murmurs
And stretches luxuriantly
Perhaps dreaming of fantastic adventures
And passionate love affairs
Which like with human beings
Seldom if ever happen In the waking state

Great read!..am looking for more of these quaint verses. Thanks
Yeah, I read the comments above, I've had a cat too, yep, they do cute neat stuff BUT . . . what about the rest of the poem!?!?
Is this the same man who wrote of night and moon magic?!?!
Of Diana and her canoe?!?!
Which is the real John?!?
ARE you a passionate believer? A man who seeks?
Or merely a dreamer who drifts through life?
2. If you don't like my work, dont read it
3. having read your articles and your bio, I am delighted that you don't like my poetry
I don't believe you understood what I was trying to say and I feel terrible about that. You see, I felt people were only focusing on the first part of your poem and not paying attention to the message at the end.
For if yearning and desiring adventure is an impractical idea or passionate love seldom might happen, then this world would be a sadder place I feel. And I honestly do not believe you think that. Not after reading your other poetry. That's what I was trying to say.
Cats dreaming of the impossible? :)
