If one can make a difference
let me be the one.
In places dark and chilly
let me be the sun.
For minds that seek enlightenment
let me hold the lantern.
when children need a guiding hand
let me become mentor.
If one can make a difference
let me be the one
to hold the feeble trembling hand
and gaze into their eyes
allowing them to share with me
the one they are inside
to see the difference
they have made
and share that roll with them,
the one who made a difference.
