Our freecycle fine!!!

We have been wanting bicycles for Eric and I so when James learns to ride his bike we can go on family bike rides.  I seen someone posted in our area that he had two bikes.  The mans bike was an older one but good shape, the woman's bike was a 10 speed his daughter bought last year and rode maybe 4 times.  She then put it down in the basement.  Eric went to get them today and I was very happy with what he came home with.  Now I can't wait for James to learn to ride his Spider-man bike.

With us moving in the country this is going to be a wonderful family event and way of enjoying the scenery.

If you are not a member of freecycle I encourage you to join.  Just go to http://freecycle.org sign up for your county, sometimes they allow you to sign up for counties close by you.  Post things you no longer want or need, if you see something you could use respond.  It is first come they will respond back to you if you got it.

That's great that you got free bikes! We have about 6 or 7 of them sitting in our big garage.....nobody has ridden them in years....LOL! Unfortunately, we've had very bad luck with Freecycle around here so we don't get involved with it any more.
That is to bad you have had bad luck. I love freecycle, I am a freecycle junkie both giving and receiving.

great bikes!!! I got one this summer also and love it! Our family goes bike riding all the time ~ it's a fun family activity!

Great find Renee. I can't ride my 10 speed. Keep forgetting the brake is on the handle. Tried stopping it with the pedals and about killed myself. Lol.
How about when I get out there we teach eachother? Heck been so long for me on a bike I probable will kill myself too.

That is a great find. It has been forever since I have ridden a bike not even sure if I still could.
Not sure if I can either but going to try. My doctor will be so proud of me. He told me to at least walk I am suppose to get up to a mile a day. I was there and when I had my last heart attack I backed up on my mile. I honestly like to walk especially with Eric and night something about it romantic. But I thought with age James is getting this would be great for us as a family.

psst Don't tell Nancy and we will get her on one when we move out there lol

Good for you. I wish we had sidewalks or bike paths, so we could ride more often. It's too dangerous for the kids to ride in our subdivision.

Excellent score! This will be such a wonderful family activity. I love freecycle, it's a great way to get things you need and give away stuff you don't use anymore.

That's a great find! I think biking and walking are great family activities for both bonding and exercising.

I wish we had an area to ride (the nearest park is 25 minutes away) but until we get our driveway paved, there's not many options for Elliott and his trike, although he loves it!
