Being new to using coupons, I wasn't quite sure what people mean when they refer to stacking coupons. This week, Walgreen's ran a coupon for $5 off a total sale of $20. It finally dawned on me that I needed to give the clerk the $5 off coupon first, when my total price was still over $20 - before I give her the other coupons. I decided to try it out just to make sure. Here's what I purchased:
· 3 boxes Honey Nut Cheerios ($2.00 off 3 boxes)
· Excedrin Migraine ($2.00 coupon)
· One hallmark card
· 3 banquet frozen dinners. On sale 3/$3
My subtotal before coupons was $20.78. I handed the clerk the $5.00 off coupon first, then had her scan the other coupons. The total after coupons was $11.78. It worked - I got $9.00 off in coupons. I couldn't believe it.
I'm sure everybody else already had this figured it out. But it was one of those Eureka moment for me.

Congrats on getting a great deal on groceries.
This makes a big difference when shopping at Ralph's using the coupon in the Entertainment Book. I can use all of my coupon stack this way.
