I have a container that hangs by my refrigerator that holds plastic sacks from shopping. We use them when we clean out the litter boxes. There has always been an endless supply. When it gets too full, the overflow gets stuffed into a cabinet by the sink. Last night, I went to get a sack and it was empty. For the first time ever, I had to refill it from the sacks from the side cabinet. It dawned on me that we must really be living more frugally because there aren't as many sacks around from shopping.
I started wondering....what other signs are there are that we're living more frugally and came up with these:
We actually eat leftovers instead of throwing them out.
I don't know the daily special at my favorite restaurant anymore.
The trash dumpster is half as full as it used to be.
What are some signs you notice that mean you are being frugal?

Hmm..other signs...my freezer is almost empty b/c every week I've been eating out of the freezer instead of buying new stuff..does that count?
Jessica: I didn't even think about the gas. That is another great point.
Diane: That is wonderful you are teaching your daughter those habits early.
Mary: Wow - you're saving on the cost of electricity too. Not to mention not having to throw away food that is freezer burnt.
I never realized before what a cumulative effect being frugal can be.
I reuse the plastic bags my newspaper comes in to pick up my dog's poop.
It's great to see that so many other people are beginning to actually think about what they do before they do it. It can only benefit our pockets and our planet.
any way sorry about the novel heee heeee
Even laundry detergent comapnies and others are using smaller packaging and toting it as green which it is ,, but it also saves them green on shipping and packaging! we would be wise to follow suit!
My debt is actually going down not up! :0) I am spending more time at home.
That is a very good sign!
