I can't get the movie trailer to load, but think the media has really put a hurt on this breed of dog. We all know just about every breed has it's moments, most often caused by poor owners, but you rarely hear or see anything about them... sad.

I think any dog can be agressive if not properly trained. I think some pit pull owners get them because they are known to be aggressive and get that for that specific reason. If you encourage a dog to be aggressive, it will be! But again its not always the dogs fault.

Pit bulls can be dog aggressive but their nature is absolutely NOT human aggressive. They were once known as "The Nanny Dog".

I'll watch it in a little while.
I watched a show on the National Geographic Channel, which showed a poster with the flag and an American family and the pit. You are right a pit used to be considered the perfect baby sitter.

My SIL has a mix they found out in the street which obviously is mostly pit, the sweetest thing you ever knew. It's sad that certain breeds get a bad rap, when it is obviously the humans who are to blame.

It's really sad they get such a bad rap. Tara's parents had a pit, a sweet little guy named Danny. One day Tara's dad took him to a local beach that only townies really ever went to with no leash laws and he let him run, like he did all the time. Only one other person was there that day, with their dog (also not on a leash). The dogs starting playing, then fighting a bit, and the other person's dog bit Danny. However, because their dog got a little roughed up (though not badly at all) and the owners were d-bags, they filed suit against Tara's parents and they were ordered to put Danny down.

He was only 2 years old. And so fit and strong, they had to euthanize him twice. :(
