Gas prices: Here's Hope!

Oil has dropped this week and anaylists are saying this may be the bubble burst we've been hoping for.  It has dropped off faster this week than ever before.  Maybe and very possibly, we've seen the turn in gas prices.  What is the price of gas by you.

Here it is as low as $3.65 a gallon and never made it to $4.00 a gallon.

I'll have to wait and see what it does before I get too excited. Between the speculators, OPEC, and the Democrats, I will not hold my breath that there will be that much of a change for long.

It is $3.97 a gallon where I live.

I think it was just a little over $4 here the other day when I filled up. I thought about going across the bridge to Missouri where it's usually a few cents a gallon cheaper but I was already at the gas station and I filled up there.

Lack of refineries may have been a factor in higher prices, but there was never a shortage of crude. We can't blame this one on OPEC & drilling our shores wouldn't have fixed it. Investors caused this artifical price inflation.

The lowest price around here is $4.45. That is way down for us, it was up to $4.80 at one point.

It's not really much of a surprise. I pretty much figured that as soon as talk of allowing offshore & ANWR drilling got serious, oil prices would begin to drop -- if only to prevent increasing the supply.

The prices have been so bad that on my days off you can put a chalk line around my dam tires and see I haven't moved! Relief needs to be soon. I am tired of being homebound, on my days off. As for it lowering much more, I'll believe that when I see it. My prediction is it will be moving up there again , when another holiday approaches.

Don't fret about the price of gas. It may drop a dime in price but the Democrats are wanting to tack a dime or more per gallon in taxes on the price.

I seen it get to 4.00 a gallon here in OKC!

We filled up at a 7 eleven on Saturday for only 3.56

wouldn't that be nice....gas has hit as high as $4.25/30 around here, just depends on where you go and if you have cash or credit, but I did notice yesteday it was under $4, I was thinking maybe that was the cash price but now that I read this maybe not!

I just got some for $3.89. The highest I saw on the way home was $3.90.

Gas here is about $4.10 (down from about $4.17 a couple weeks ago). I'd be thrilled if gas prices kept coming down, but I'm very skeptical about these things these days.

It's a momentary ploy. With Tundras, Explorers and Suburbans stock-piling in lots around the country and new production halted in many cities including San Antonio (Tundra Plant taking a 90-day sabbatical from production), the powers that be has to create a temporary illusion to get the hulking behemoths off the lots. A quick sale of 1 million SUVs and gas will be climbing steadfastly upwards again by Labor Day.

$3.89/gallon in south central Texas.

Today the prices were $3.95 here, I do hope they keep dropping.
