Have any of you ever donated blood? I am strongly considering donating blood for the first time. I really want to do it, but I'm a little nervous about what it will feel like after the blood is drawn. If any of you have thoughts, suggestions, or advice, I would love to hear it.

Good point, Lloyd!
Some people might feel a little light-headed afterwards, usually because their blood sugar levels have dropped. Usually the Red Cross has little powdered sugar donuts to get your blood sugar back up. Good luck!
One added advantage is you will get a Mini Physical............... for free!
HIV test/Iron/clotting time/blood type/blood pressure/sugar levels/temp/heart rate/etc.
Eat before you go, don't LOOK at the needle if you are needle shy. Our local Blood Bank always has little thank you incentives.......tee shirts, 10.00 gift certificates for restaurants/movies/parks.
