Hi to all, as a fellow Veteran and with Veterans' day coming up I would like to give a special thanks to all those presently in the military and take a moment to remember the countless men and women who have died or been injured while defending not only our country's territories but its way of life, because lets face it the United States is great because of its geography, but what makes it even greater is our people. Starting with our military we are a nation of unselfish heroes, but back to the Veterans let me tell you that during my twenty month stay in Veterans hospitals I saw more bravery then I would have ever imagined. I saw hundreds of Veterans of older World War II Veterans who had been afflicted with terrible illness and medical conditions that in the face of adversity always seeing the brighter side of things and just refused to give up. I saw many Vietnam War and other middle aged Veterans who despite their mental and physical misfortune also refused to quit fighting, then there were the many Dessert Storm Veterans who along with me were in our late teens or early twenties but who realistically despite our youth had very little to look forward to. Despite our differences in age we all had something we all agreed on and that is that we are proud of our service to this country.
Living most of my life disabled Veteran and having lived for a couple of years surrounded by elderly Veterans with poor health I know that although the benefits our Veterans get are good they can and should be much better. Even though they should not be considered Veteran’s benefits but rather Veteran’s rights as we have one way or another earned them. Let me conclude by reminding you all that the life we enjoy here in the United States is due to all of our military and should be thankful. "LOL, is calling me an internationalist supposed to be in insult? I have never served in the US military, Robert. And yet I am just as much a US citizen as you are. My vote counts the same as yours. The same goes for my 3 sons, who are all US citizens despite never having set foot on US soil."
"As for the enjoyment of our rights as US citizens, your service in the US military has had zero impact. Did we ask you to fight, bleed or die so that we might enjoy our right to fly any damned flag we like? Nope."

We need to let this person know how us Veterans feel about this type of disrespect.
Thanks,
