Two days ago I went to my home town to my dentist, and when I came home I wrote about some of the deepest pieces that make up 'my life.' After I wrote that, I recieved wonderful awesome responses.
Yesterday I wrote another piece from a different time, and it got taken by the ghouls of gather. I could not find it. It was not a difficult piece emotionally however I had begun to get sick yesterday and when that disappeared, one adage I live by is: there must be a reason. Today, I woke up sick and a headache, and my body feels as though it ran a marathon, puttered out, was shocked back into existance and then rolled home in a barrell. I have been reading a book by the Rev. Deborah Johnston, of the Church of Inner Light, in Santa Cruz. My son intro duced me to Deborah, and I also had the opportunity to go to the services. Deborah sent her first book to me which I read when ever I am feeling a need for spiritual support.
I opened the book and came to, Feel, Deal and Heal. One section talked about how our bodies are also effected by the pain we hold and when we let it go, we will feel uncomfortable and perhaps sick. So I said to myself, "AHA! Time to Heal for a bit before I go digging again."
I came up with a plan. I need to keep writing, but I do want to stay away from my immediate and past life for a bit. Over a week ago, Lune W. had written after reading a piece on horses that I'd written, that she was not interested in horses but really liked my article. She went on to say 'I bet you could make a recipe' interesting.' I took her up on that and wrote a piece called 'Recipe' which was a bit nontraditional, but I had a great time writing it.
Thus I need another challenge; imagined or real. Lune didn't really challenge me to write a recipe' but I found it to be a good one, since I am domestically handicapped. lol.
I ask any of you who know my writings to throw out there a topic. Not a topic that requires me going back to school, or to do research, but something simple to see if I can make an article about it and make it interesting. Then i will have topics I can pull from and blame on the one who sent it, when I need something other than pain to write about.
So how about it people....think of this as a game. Give me a one or two word topic that is as interesting as toast without butter, and see what I do. The challenge is on you.

When I was hospitalized, the occupational therapist insisted that I work on several crafts. Getting out of the way of your healing, allows the body to do its thing.
Diverting your attention to something that can make you laugh or engage your thoughts to places other than your immediate problem is not only OK, but will enable you to heal faster.
Go play. Have an ice-cream cone. Listen and talk with a child--write something that makes you laugh. You are definitely on the right track, I think.
LOL,
Looking forward to what you do with this. I know the topic you choose and the story that flows forth will be great, and totally you. :)
*chuckle*
Take a meditational journey to your male self and write from his perspective. Take an actual journey. Cross a river hike the montains, find him and write about his life. I did this journal years ago, my male self was in a castle past a think of woods and many animals I came upon helped me on my journey. It was a great piece of writing and later when I took my first writing class earned me an A.
I think wrinkles add character to a face and as far as mine are concerned I earned them all and I'm keeping them. LOL

They've all probably got their own personalities and traits. Buddy, with his grey beard could be the older, wiser one. Schooch is the young, goofy one. And then you've got the female. Hmm, maybe she should be the wiser one. lol
What do you think?
I love who I am because...
next one
the memory I will always hold near and dear to my heart
next one
the first time I truly knew I was loved was ...
and just for a change of pace
the girl next door....
Whatever you decide, we'll be anxious to read what you come up with, l'il sis....
