From the days of living in a four room shack in the backwoods bayou bottoms of Arkansas county Arkansas with only the bare essentials, wood cooking and heating, bed, table, benches, coal oil lamps, outdoor plumbing and a Saturday bath in a #3 galvanized washtub where there was no reason at all to be in the house other than to sleep or eat or when the cold weather drove us inside. We lived out in what God gave us and there was no question about him being there because he furnished us with the fantastic and beautiful jungles of Arkansas to live in. Now you can call me a bubba if you want, but I guarantee you that first and foremost I am a God fearing American that believes in fighting for this nation instead of fighting each other and hold my family second only to defending my country. Unless you were there I do not believe that in your wildest dreams that you can imagine what family ties are all about, how much you depend on each other, the true meaning of sharing. Even today we, all five children of whom the oldest is 83 and still going strong, have that kind of connection and Mom and Dad will never be forgotten.
Of course being in the south there was a racial difference but the only way that I knew about it was that my good friend Orzo went to a different school from me. The living conditions were the same, we were all dirt poor but we didn’t know that because there was nothing better than what we had, at least not in the bayou country. With this came a strong will to survive but I myself left the bayous with an inferior complex that took a while to overcome. However playing sports in high school was the beginning of my coming out and with WW 11 over a new world, the world of the baby boomer, had its beginning.
I have been around the world a few times and have been in a lot foreign countries. Have been a soldier of fortune, was in the army during the Korean War, was shot during a picket line war in Alabama and have lived on a yacht while sailing the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. I have been in a war with the rebels in Nicaragua, run contraband into a few Central and South America countries and the islands that ring the Caribbean while searching for precious metal in the jungle. Have spent time in the jungle in Africa and have rode white water in Australia and was a bartender in the south Pacific. With my exploring days behind me I joined an international company that designed and constructed chemical and explosive manufacturing facilities where I rose to be the vice president of operations. I still understand where I came from and even though I understand the situation that we are in today I can not understand why. Well maybe no just exactly why but why we allowed it to happen. Like let the television and the corrupt political advisers influence out elections? Like not paying enough attention to the positive and letting the negative become the campaign platforms? Like letting the ill conceivers cause a nation splitting war to happen? Like letting the Neo-Cons soak all of the financial advantage out of the trickle-down economy? Like letting the Stock Market money-makers be the marker for a so-called better economy? I believe that what it all comes down to is we had better pay attention to the coming election and not listen to all the wicked hate message that are so prevalent and listen to the promised platforms without the hyped up crap that comes out of the news media. However I reckon that beyond all else, it is very important to become acquainted with who might be going to the White House with the chosen candidate, that could well be the biggest key of all.

I will add the link to Our Best Articles ... think I might republish that and the first one right before I do number #3... so hopefully it will get more visibility again, even if it doesn't right away.
