Microsoft Vista, the new windows operating system, is now complete. This is the first major upgrade of Windows, the operating system that runs most of the world's computers, in five years. The new system includes many upgrades on the previous Windows XP system, although some of the more drastic changes were scaled down in order to meet this deadline. In order to encourage shoppers to buy their new Vista based platform, Microsoft is planning on offering a series of discounts, and will be aggressively pushing Vista to both businesses and private customers.
This system will have the social impact of allowing the average computer user to do more complicated tasks. This will increase the current trend of more user generated content, as seen in youTube and wikipedia.

I'm no Gates bigot but I just don't need that kind of investment. When they start shipping it with new PC's and I buy one I'll swap.
No longer an early adopter (no longer getting PAID to be either).

What MS isn't admitting is that it has a "kill switch" embedded in it. If Windows Genuine Advantage thinks (and so far it's been wrong 40% of the time) a pirated copy of the operating system, it will shut it down.
This is not a good thing.
