Logan Seth - quite possibly the most laid-back baby in the world, and our very first grand child was born yesterday morning at 10:54 am.

He weighed in at 8 pounds 2 oz, and stretched out to 21 inches long.
Mom went into labor at about 10:30 PM on the 7th - so it was a long night for everyone.

Fortunately, there were no complications and everyone is doing just fine. Just a bit tired though, after pulling an all nighter.

Grammy G and .....

Grampy Fred are actively soliciting grandparenting advice ;)

Auntie Danielle took to her duties like a pro.

Uncle Trent and Logan had a good chuckle together.

Thanks to all who sent their well wishes as we went through the last 3 weeks of "stand-by."

grandparent advice? spoil, spoil, spoil! :)
I appreciate your warm wishes very much!
A beautiful new member of a beautiful family.
reading your article and seeing all the pictures. We just added our first grandchild, so I know how happy you are.
Congrats and best wishes to you all!
I am so happy for all of you, he is a beautiful baby. All the best and remember to enjoy every minute.
How adorable everyone looks, especially Logan and Auntie Danielle. The look on her face is priceless. I hope you get a little rest so you can jump right in to enjoying every second of being a Grammy from now on.
I called my mom's mom Grammy and haven't heard many others use it.
Etc.
But repeat after me: you've earned it having raised baby's none-too-easy mommy (and her siblings).
Anyway, all the best. Another one of life's great moments, I'm sure...
Congratulations!
I made it through the Girl Scout meeting and then Dani and I headed up to the hospital for a quick cuddle with our little lad Logan. He's thriving, and expected to come home tomorrow.
Now....off to homework and hopefully the land of nod...still dragging a bit after all the excitement ;)
Congrats!
*(And you are "g-ma" remember! You're too young and vibrant to be called "grammy"!)
Soliciting advice? Well, since you asked! BE there. Experience it all over again. My husband and I have never lived physically near any of our grandchildren but with today's technology and travel (and a heck of a lot of effort) you can be right there through all the growing up!
If you want, I can give you tips.
Congratulations to you all.
Congratulations
Gisela the Goddess Gram. I am so happy everyone is fine. Good for you for helping mom. It really counts the first 2 weeks especially if mom is breast feeding.
I bet baby's auntie is delirious with joy as well.
Ahaa, ....So may be that's why we haven't seen you on Gather lately.
I came looking for you to your gather site to see what's going on.
Sorry, .....I am also late to celebrate this great event.
Here is a song for you, from Fiddler on the roof:
To life! To life! L'chai-im!
L'chai-im, l'chai-im, to life!
If you've been lucky, then Monday was
No worse than Sunday was,
Drink l'chai-im, to life.
Hehehe
Thanks for the post and the pictures.
A late congrats for the new little one! We are forever joined at the hip now Gisela, as my third son is also named Logan!
I'm catching up.
Beautiful, beautiful.
xo
i wish every new mum could have a grammy G to help them out. God bless you all.
