My brother Dan and I have been working on an acoustic blues act. Dan sings and plays harp. I sing and play guitar. We recorded a four song demo we're going to force on local clubs to see what might happen. I've decided to force it on Gather too.
First up is Statesboro Blues, a tune Willie McTell recorded in the late 1920s. The Allman Brothers copied the version Taj Mahal recorded in the 60s. Ours is closer to the McTell version. My Gather userid is williemctell for a reason. Me on vocal and guitar, Dan on harp.
Next is I Hear You Knockin', the Swamp Blues fave by Lazy Lester. This one has Dan on vocal and harp with me on guitar.
Below is Walkin' Blues, a Robert Johnson tune. Johnson took the guitar part from his mentor Son House and added his own words. Me on vocal and guitar, Dan on harp.
Finally, Keys to the Highway, the Jazz Gillum tune most often associated with Big Bill Broonzy. Broonzy recorded it many times including playing guitar on Gillum's version. Dan on vocal and harp, me on guitar.

Froggy can sing!
I have to say I like your brother's vocals on 'I hear you Knockin' much better than Lazy Lester's or some of those others who've covered his stuff in the past. Mind you the last time I saw Lazy Lester he was a little the worse for wear.
Silly trivia the bartender at my friend's restaurant bar used to either manage or promote Lazy Lester... I was never quite sure which term 'fit'.
It's sometimes a little sad to realise how some of these old Blues Legends have ended up.
sigh 'Walkin' Blues comes up as "Video unavailable"...
Now I'm so homesick I could cry...

You neglected the part people really want to know. The gear. Guitar, mic, slide, recording platform. What's the scoop?
