Ella Fitzgerald is back on the charts after 38 years. 

Her new album is the number two jazz album, and she starts off at number 97 on the Billboard charts.

Even though she has been dead since 1996, Ella Fitzgerald is still very much loved as an entertainer.

Her talent will always shine.

It is good to see this happen, as I believe her work and life should be an example for future generations to come.

Dynamic woman! Saw her in concert once. She had to be led on and off stage, but her voice and stage presence was as powerful as ever.

Wouldn't she be pleased to know another generation was enjoying her music?

Tony Bennett commented that he has listened to every song of Ella's that he could find - she made over 400 records - and he loved every minute of it. I have all my music students listen to her, and they love her.

That is fantastic! The music industry these days is constantly changing what they consider to be the next big thing so people get into the habit of forgetting what was hot after a week. For those who appreciate timeless talent like Ella there is no need for the Billboard Charts.

There's a chanteuse renaissance going on! Young, soulful jazz singers such as Corinne Bailey Rae and Madeleine Peyroux are attracting new listeners to the vocal styles made popular by Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. If you like the originals, take a listen to the new artists, too.
