Hey, Do You Live in Kansas City and Do You Love Animals?

If the answer is yes, then I highly recommend you come out and enjoy Art Unleashed which is a benefit for the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.  Do not pussy foot around my friends because I know if you love kitties and doggies like I do then you want to make sure that they are as healthy and happy as they can be.  The event is being held tomorrow evening, August 28th, 7:00 – 10:00 at the Hale Arena at the American Royal Complex (the arena that looks like the Kemper Arena’s little sister).  Various restaurants will be catering (or is it CAT-ering?) various yummy goodies.  I’m guessing they will be a bar with cocktail drinks (since the previous years had a bar but that was at a different venue).  The tickets are $25.00 if purchased before the event, and $35.00 at the door.  There will be a silent auction of which I have donated some jewelry (so please stop by and say hi).  There will also be a live auction and basically a fun time to be had by everyone who has ever snuggled with a loving pet.  All of the artwork has an animal theme and here is a catalogue (or is it a CAT-alogue?  Listen once you start this nonsense you have to commit to it) of some of the cute creative stuff! 

 

I hope to see you there because it is sure to be dog gone good fun!

What a cool idea! I'd like to see my local Humane Society host something like this. (Unfortunately, I'll have to turn down the invitation, as I don't think I could get to KC in time.)

Oh man, I live in Kansas City and work close by, but I have plans already and will not be able to cancel them. Best of luck. I bet there will be a huge turn out. Post this on Craigslist to get more info out there.

Cynthia, shoot, it would have been fun to meet you. I have never posted anything on Craigslist, does it cost anything? I'm sure the Humane society is doing what they can already to get the word out.

It would have been really fun. Craigslist is completely free. Great place to find great deals if you need something. You just have to watch out for the scams. Lots of categories on there to post and look for things. www.craigslist.com.
