I realize I'm posting in groups that don't want news. But I figured it being a prayer everyone should know... thanks
I'm a very BIG fan of John Travolta and reading this news report really breaks my heart...
John Travolta is still in deep mourning for his only son, Jett, 16, who died in January during a New Year holiday vacation in the Bahamas. Travolta is suffering such grief that he has become a virtual recluse and is barely able to function, reports London's Mail on Sunday newspaper. He once rode a buggy around his vast property with Jett by his side; now a neighbor says he rides alone and only after dark. Travolta has also canceled all work commitments since his son's death.
There are even claims that the longtime follower of the Church of Scientology wants to leave the church and bitterly regrets following its strict teachings for treating Jett's condition, which is thought to have been autism. The Church of Scientology considers autism to be psychosomatic and "treats" it with vitamins and a detox program. Ethics officers with the church are also questioning the Travolta family to determine if their "negative influences" caused Jett's death.
Travolta is concerned about leaving the church because of fears it will retaliate by revealing embarrassing details about his private life. "Scientology keeps files on its celebrity members containing embarrassing personal information about them," Rick Ross, an author who has watched the church for 30 years, told the Mail on Sunday. "And Scientology has proven in the past that it has a penchant for releasing that information to embarrass people who have left and who have said things it doesn't like."
Let's keep him in our prayers. I'm sure many of you love his acting in many movies he's been in.

The thing about the scientology... if you walk the good life and are true to being a good person, what could anyone have about you that would be embarassing? There should be no skeleton in his closet, if he is; who he says he is. If it has to do with not getting his son the proper care (who's to say what is proper?), that was a parental choice... we all make choices in the best interest of our children.
