yes i'm here.... just wondering if it's that time of year or if my posts and pictures are really not worth looking at and commenting on? I've been a member for a few months now and still can't cash out because I don't have enough points. I spend time on Gather and asked about a month ago for some help for my last few 100 points and yet it seems that since then my comments and lookings have decreased.. I don't have a disease... and I was just wondering if my pictures and post really arent' that interesting. If so let me know what your interested in I'd love to cash out one of these days.

you don't get much points for comments you get more points if you keep putting on pictures and videos thats where the points are you got more points for putting on this post then for the comment i don't see my points move when i am commenting but i keep doing it i have a lot on you can go see and comment on

oh really? I thought for sure I was told before that a lot of the points come from comments. I could be wrong. I know patience but grrr I'd like to cash out just to know that this site is la gite. Thanks Lena and I love your pics and posts also

Lynda, I comment on as many posts as I have time for, sorry if you've been neglected! Me, sure I want points, but the fun, friendship & sharing are as important, if not moreso. So that's why I always comment and not just view, as that's the only way to interact. I'll do my best dear to comment on your posts when I see them come through.

Posting gives you points but you also get points for views. The comments add to the conversation and let you know who has visited your post. Points used to be earned when a person visited another persons article. They still are but only at a fraction of what they used to be. Like others have mentioned during the summer things slow down but the recent point change has also caused some people to leave and others to change their viewing habits.

When you first joined, viewing things got more points. But they changed that recently. Its much harder to get points now. And they don't want us posting things that aren't ours. If you do share something that isn't yours, make sure you write something in your own words about it. They will shut off your points if you constantly post things that aren't yours.

As others have stated above, Gather has changed the point algorithm so that viewing content now earns fewer points. This has led to some members viewing and commenting less in the community.

Lynda, I have the same problem. A few of my posts get no comments at all. Everything changed after that points update.

Thanks everyone it's not that I don't enjoy this site... But with people "cashing" out I'd like to know if it's really true then I'll not worry so much about it.
I really enjoy looking at everyone's pictures and posts but it was just the point that I thought people weren't enjoying what I was posting ..

I don't think I ave ever seen any of your posts or pictures come through before now. As I don't recognize your icon. Or did you change your icon recently?

pictures in general are not getting views...comments are also way down on content.

I suggest keep adding content daily..(which I need to do. I haven't in a couple of days) don't pay attention to views and return comments.
