If you have a scanner at your disposal I suggest trying to scan some of your jewelry, I find it brings out the details quite nicely and is easier than photographing them. You should lay a sheet of clear plastic under the jewelry to keep your jewelry from scratching the scanner bed. Arrange the jewelry, then drape a sheet or towel or piece of cloth over it to create a backdrop. The cloth should cover the scanner bed entirely. Then scan, and use your photo editing software to crop, enlarge and sharpen the image, if desired.
Good luck!
