Art As A Unifying Force

Greetings to all! Just a short note, a quick thought to share. All responses are always welcome!

In my very humble opinion, ART is something that trancends race, creed, culture, language or religion. It is a unifying force in our lives. I believe we must embrace this. Perhaps it will be ART that someday brings the world closer together!

I completely agree. Art is a way for expression of emotion to take form, for a reflection of the world to gain visibility and understanding.

I feel that expression is precisely that. Expression does not ask for judgement, it just wants to convey a feeling, an emotion, a moment, expression just needs to share something with an audience, an ear, an eye, a heart, a brain...

I agree that art is a universal need, but it also helps us to express our differences. I think the great power of art is that through expression of our individual experiences in the world we come to find that we have more in common than not in common. We also get to appreciate the experiences of others who have different backgrounds through their art. Art is a way to invite others into our own experiences and to show them how to see through our worldview. We can also use art to step outside of those experiences and into the worldview of others. Art allows for us all to come to a common understanding of what it means to be human with and without all of our differences.
