 38.  Soarer's Choice -  L.E. Modesitt, Jr -  SF/Fantasy  -  (B)

 

Now it is the Soarer's turn.  A powerful, ancient race that has been secretly pushing the Alectors off the planet.  Will the Alector's win and keep using the natives as steers or will the Soarer's get rid of the Alectors?  Or will something unexpected happen?

 

39.  Millennium: The Frenchman  #1   -  Elizabeth Hand  -  Fantasy/TV series    -  (C-)

 

A story from the intriguing sf series about a profiler of the supernatural.  Unfortunely this book isn't intriguing. It has cardboard characters and boring.

 

40.  The Bourne Identify  -  Robert Ludlum  -  spy thriller  -  (B)

 

I have enjoy all the movies.  So I decided to try the book.  It was a little better then the movie.  In fact I know want to read the others.  That is always a good sign.

 

41.  Windhaven  -  George R. R. Martin and Lisa Tuttle -  SF/Fantasy   -  (B-)

 

Three novellas about a planet where people can actually fly with metal wings.  ( Low gravity and a dense atmosphere) A slow start but by the end I was sad to close the book. Very good characters.

 

Since I am typing this today Dec. 1, 2008 I know I will get the 50 books for the years.  I will be back soon.

I've never even been remotely tempted to pick up a book by Robert Ludlum. That last one on your list sounds kinda good, though.

A.F. Stewart - Have you read the Ninga series by Eric Van Lusterbader? If not, try it. It is action, spies, business thriller all rolled into one addicting series. (One of the reasons that the next three Bourne books #4, #5 and #6 are written by him.)

Diana Baabe - I always seem to read about 50 to 60 books a year. To try to read a hundred books would make reading a chore. I just enjoy reading too much to ruin it for a silly contest.

It's not a contest, just readers staying connected. They say there is no pressure but, personally, I refuse to make that kind of commitment myself and completely understand your reluctance.

No doubt some readers would find 50 books in a year too much pressure as well...

Diana Raabe- Sorry. Lousy typist. I know some people think I am werid because I read a book a week. They seem proud of the fact they haven't read a book since high school.
