What's your favorite Firefly episode?

I have to Netflix Firefly. I've always wanted to see it but never remembered to turn it on when it was still on the air. I liked some of Joss Whedon's other series and I remember that the previews for Firefly looked really good. I'll have to come back to this thread after I've gotten the chance to watch the series (and the movie!).

It's definitely worth getting from Netflix, though I will warn you that you'll probably want to buy it after you've watched it. I only saw two episodes (a friend had the box set) before I decided that I needed to own the whole series! :)

hm i like most of the episodes with the Shepard but i do have to admit jane's town is really good!

I loved the one that starts out with the captain sitting buck naked on a rock in the desert, looking around and saying "Yep. That went well."

oh i love that episode where they break into the hospital and the one where that other woman tries to capture them and messes up their ship and they all almost die. It was directed really well i think

oh i love that one too dale! man i really liked firefly. too bad they canceled it. I have been a fan of joss since buffy and after watching all those episodes along with angel, i have to agree firefly is the best though i hate the theme song!

Dale: Aside from Mal being naked, that's one of the episodes that I usually skip when I'm watching the DVDs. I just don't like Yo-Saff-whatever her name is. :)

Kellie: I actually love the theme song. It took a while to grow on me, because I don't really like that twangy-country sound, but whenever I hear it now, it makes me think of the show and how much I love it. :)

Only seres I haven't watch from him yet. But I loved the movie!

I loved the one all about Jane. But they all are great.

I agree with you Dawn: it's hard to pick a favorite. Shindig was fun:

Out of Gas, Jaynestown, Serenity (the pilot), Ariel, Objects in Space... they're all good in their own ways, which is why it was such a good show. Even the ones that aren't as popular (like Safe, The Train Job, Bushwhacked) have excellent qualities and writing.

Out of Gas and Jaynestown hard to pick between them.

They are all EXCELLENT! I love Firefly! My faves are ~

The Train Job ~ "You do not like I kill this man?" "Oh, I'm sure he was a bad man." "My wife's nephew.... at dinner I am getting earful, but there is no getting out of that." And the best scene from a TV show EVER at the end... AWESOME. Completely sold me on the show forever!

Shindig, Out of Gas, Jaynestown, Serenity, Ariel, War Stories, Objects in Space, Trash, Our Mrs. Reynolds.... The music, the casting, the writing, the cinematography, the Mandarin Chinese! What's not to LOVE!?

I've bought 4 or 5 copies of the series and 2 or 3 of the movie, Serenity. One for me, one for my daughter, one for a friend, one for a birthday present.... Gotta reward great work like this! Maybe if we're really lucky, they'll make some more. :-D

I just watched the entire series over the Christmas holidays... and then the ones with commentary. :-D

I think that it's too hard to choose, but if I had to I would say Out of Gas. BTW, I'm new here and very happy to find more Browncoats out in the black (of the web) :)
