This coming weekend is the last round of a Star Trek script-writing contest where the goal is to pit Captain Kirk against Captain Picard and follow a story chosen in prior rounds. Information about the contest is here:

If you know anyone who likes Trek and likes to write scripts, this is a dream come true. The next assignment is released on Friday and the deadline is Monday afternoon to turn in entries.
I do have a selfish reason for sharing this info... I am actually a finalist in Round 3, and voting takes place now through lunchtime Friday, July 13th! To vote, you need to click the Final Vote button on the home page, and sign up (but there's no spam or anything, it's just for this event).
If you would be so kind, I would appreciate a vote from anyone who is willing to go to the trouble. The prizes are amazing, and I would love to be the round winner!

(Oh, by the way, all you aspiring writers who are NOT screenplay writers -- they also give out prizes for the best reviews of other people's work. There are still TWO rounds to go in that competition, because Round 3 winners aren't announced until Friday!
