I don't know how many of you are comic book fans out there, but this is something that everyone should check out! I found a blog called DIAL B FOR BLOG, and it has amazing comic art, and memorabilia from the past.
Since I don't know who owns the art that's posted there, I'm not uploading any of the art or photos up to Gather. However, my list of links to some of these great posts starts with one of our favorite Gather chatacters...Clark Kent (George Reeves, from the old TV show)! There are photos of Clark with Lois, and as Superman, diving off of the springboard, as well as one particularly Jesus-like photo of him standing on the ladder that he jumped off of to simulate landing. Gather-Clark, you should use some of these photos!
The second link is to a Vampirella page. Let me tell you, these are classic images that any man over 40 remembers vividly. Before women actually started dressing this way in videos, on stage, and in public, Vampi did it for our nations' 12 - year olds. Another must - see link, but the titles of the others show that this whole site is a treat for the eyes and mind, giving a historical view into the comics industry from a fresh perspective.
311-Superman TV Show216-Lucy and Superman (Lucille Ball, from "I LOVE LUCY!)
To be honest, I haven't looked at all of these links yet. I can say this about the few I've read, though. They will bring you on a journey through time and space, to another place! There are almost 400 links on the main page, so strap on your helmet, and get ready for a fantastic voyage! -Or, just enjoy the view, as a momentary distraction.

Thanks for the memories this morning!
While I am not a great comic fan, I do appreciate the art and title work. Also, the 'Dial B for Blog' has a captivating design, and appears to have an extensive archive.
I loved the images of Lucille Ball and Superman...that is one episode I don't think I have seen...!
On a side note of comic memories, I miss "Elvira" from television hosting "B" monster and sci fi movies........ sigh. ;-)
That's why I love sites like this. It's bittersweet to see comics I once had, and just sweet to see images and comics that I've never seen before, from an older era. Glad you checked it out!
That's a lot of books too. You know, I don't know the quantity, but I have every book I have ever bought stored in boxes. Everything from sci-fi to text books for school. I'm sure some have gone missing from not being returned by a brother or sister etc., but I never dump a book! I've always had this "someday" dream of having my own library room, even if half are all paper-backs, ha ha.
Take care.
