Hang Around Clothes - What Kind Are You Wearing?

The first thing I do when I walk into my house is fling my bra.  Sometimes it lands on my tripod, door knob or baby grand - but it lands and it's not on me.  I am into comfort.  I also take off all my silver jewelry and slide my body into a pair of worn flannel pajamas - leopard of course.  The elastic is blown and I can barely feel anything around my waist.  My feet find their way into a pair of fuzzy slippers.  I put my hair into one of those wonderful clips and I'm set for the evening.  I don't like to be confined and love soft worn fabrics. 

Of course, not everyone can be this relaxed.  They have to look good.  Well, I like to look good myself but my priorities are in how I feel and tight-fitting night clothes aren't for me.  I do have bunches of sweats and like them well washed.  I chop out the neck, arms and legs for added comfort. 

Since Miz Ina inspired me to write this little ditty with her Jammie article, I feel compelled to ask you, what kind of clothes do you hang around in.  Are they nice and worn and comfortable?  Thanks and I want honesty!  Salud.

Mariana, I am wearing a pair of very soft longjohns with a gray long tee shirt over them. (For purposes of modesty). I am very comfortable. Isn't it wonderful to be comfortable. Yeah, the bra has to go. A veritable torture contraption. Glad to see you today.

Right now I am wearing gymshorts and a tank top as I will be doing a yoga video. At home it is all about comfort. My husband and both of my sons strip to their boxers as soon as they get in the door. (Therefore if you knock on our door, it will take a while for us to answer as the boys needs to get dressed:))

We are spending a few days with our daughter and her family so I am not in my comfy clothes. I love to just wear my PJ's around the house or a jogging outfit. However, I now have on jeans, long sleeved T shirt and my socks. LOL

Priority is comfort, I agree! Particularly around the house. In the warm weather it's shorts and a tank top with a build in bra - that way I'm always prepared to turn on my exercise tape and do my Tae Bo for the day without worrying about changing. Right now, I'm wearing loose fitting denim capris rolled up above my knees and a red hooded sweater - the house is a bit chilly and I don't want to turn on the heat. got the tank top under the sweater in case I get inspired to work off the Thanksgiving calories before the day is over. As soon as the sun goes down I'll don a favorite pair of pajama bottoms and strip off the tight tank top under the sweater ;-)

Around the house, it's just a house dress for me, preferably sleeveless! But now that its colder, I think I'm going to have to add something for my feet cuz they are awful cold all the time now!

Hi Mariana. Right now I'm wearing a pair of comfortable stretch jeans and a slightly faded tee shirt. I've never been able to get away without wearing a bra but I did stop wearing underwired bras when I retired last year.
I'm wearing my new cozy black sweats.

Well it seems we are all so much in agreement about bras. Look what kind of article you started, Mariana ! This is funny. I had no idea so many women hated them or disliked them and shed them as quickly as possible.

On evenings sans visitors (which is about 50% of the time), I immediately get out of my day clothes (I try to put everything neatly away, not always successful), brush out my hair to hang soft and free or in a convenient pony, and put on a nightgown. Since this has been my evening wear choice for years, I made up my mind to go a little stylish, as long as they are comfortable. One of my favorite brands is Miss Elaine. Lovely fabrics, long flowing lines that are the perfect length for my height, low scooped neck, which is hughly important as a comfort factor. I look pretty swish in my very feminine gowns till you look at my shoes. The same therapeutic sandles since my foot surgery. Actually, I have to force myself to go bearfoot as part of my recovery. For a person who went shoeless all her life and loved it, the shoe thing is my biggest challenge.
As with so many of us on this thread, the bra is the first thing to go. If I didn't have to work or if I hadn't gained some weight which actually gave me boobs, I would never wear one.

Kevin is home, so right now I'm in a robe. We have to leave for his first gig with his new band tonight, so I'll put on something comfortable and a bra won't be a part of the mix. We're going to a bar, after all.

Hmm...I'm dressed the way I dress for work. Ordinary shirt and jeans. Come to think of it I've worn this outfit to work. I'm wearing underwear. My shoes are off. Men can almost always wear comfortable clothes. If I had to wear a suit or some other type of costume I'd change when I got home.

I am in my jeans and cosy sweater. I like wearing something that makes me feel fabulous and comfortable. I like feminine styles and vintage laces. Loose fitting clothes make me feel heavy and sluggish. In the evening I like my PJ to be all natural - ironed and clean. I always like my feet to be covered with socks. especially in the winter...
I've got on a black pair of yoga capri's, a comfy fitted sleep t shirt and pink fuzzy cashmere house socks :-)
Comfort is key once I am at home to stay.
My bra is the first thing to go as well! LOL

I have been wearing Fresh Produce clothes for a long time. I love them when they get old and faded. They are all cotton and have beachy pictures on the fronts. I just pull over one of their sweatshirts when I run to the store.

Me, I throw on my Spiderman boxers, my batman tee shirt, and slip my cold feet in a pair of Mocassians. Now I'm ready to shuffle my feet over to my laptop and enter the addictive world of Gather!!!

pjs when i'm off from work for the day unless i have to go someplace. when i get home from work, i take off my shoes. i usually don't change out of my work clothes till i get ready for bed.

I burned my bra back in the 60's but alas if I didn't wear one now I'd be lookin like Granny Playboy. Necessity. I bought a pair of the biggest, nastiest, blackest, silkiest long underwear ya have ever seen for lounging. Comfort. ;))

Like everyone else, the first thing to go when I hit the door is my bra. Last summer I went to Goodwill and bought three or four sleeveless summer dresses two sizes too big for me, and in warm weather I wear them around the house, and oh, how the air does circulate in them, even better than wearing shorts. In cold weather I have sweats. If someone is coming over, I put on a sports bra as a compromise. That way I am still pretty comfortable but I won't turn quickly and give anyone a black eye.

I first take off my shoes, and in cold weather I put on fuzzy warm socks or slippers. I then fling the bra. I generally have flannel pajama bottoms and a sweatshirt on or something equally warm and comfortable. I have visions of doing this all day at work. I can't wait to get out of the monkey suit.

I'm wearing comfy blue slacks, an oversized blue gingham blouse, and because it is a little chilly, a woolen hat and scarf. And on my feet? My butter colored crocs. :-)

LMAO!!! I LOVE cozy!!! My sweats are with me everyday!!! I do the same as you....chop out the neck and sleeves!!! I wear the same old things too...kind of a way of life here anyway!!! When you smell like rotten bait, you don't dress up!!! Old clothes are the only way to go around here :)

First thing that comes off of my body when I get home is SHOES and socks. I hate shoes, I then slip into my slippers. Then either pj's or a nightgown. I hate to be uncomfortable. I have several pairs of pj's and a couple of nightgowns. If I do not need to go out for the day, I stay in my pj's too.

in summers My fav is a halter top atleast 3 sizes bigger than my size that my friend gave me ( I cannot believe she think I can fit into that ) .. or my cotton shorts and spegetti tank top (in baby pink)

I also like wrap arounds and spegetti's ...
In winters i am wrapped up with a woolen cap, warm full sleeved t-shirt and pajamas ..socks are must ..

I prefer them comfy , soft and loose

You are the sister of my spirit in more ways than one! I am currently wearing an embarrassing assortment of baggy comfy clothes that saw better days some years ago. That's what I change into as soon as I hit the door. My partner of many years once offered his good natured opinion of my sleeping gear (baggy snow man flannels, his old tee shirt and a huge flannel shirt.) Not his preference but he has grown used to it! Sure, I look like I was swallowed by a flannel monster but my cat Tibby thinks I'm great!

Comfort for me - blue jean shorts and a loose fitting hippy blouse sans bra and any underwear for that matter. (They're big honey but they need out and must breathe when not out. lol!!)

In cold weather, which is rare here in Dallas, Texas, a long velvet dress...hippy chick all the time sans bra and panties around this pad of mine.

Freedom is the word.

I would have to say that I am most comfy in a pair of boxers and a tshirt. If it is winter time though then I would have to say that any pair of pj pants and a tshirt.
