What is the worst Christmas song ever?

I was in my friendly neighborhood big box store perusing the Christmas decoration aisle when my eardrums were suddenly accosted by what is perhaps the worst song of all time - the Chipmunks singing "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus". Come on - as if the song wasn't bad enough anyway, now we have to listen to it as if it is a 33 record being played at 45? If anyone thinks that horrendous excuse for music is going to get me in the Xmas/buying spirit, they have another think coming. The Chipmunks sent me running for the quiet of my car, without buying a thing!

So I got to thinking... is the Chipmunks version of "I Saw Mommy..." really the worst carol ever, or is there even more objectionable holiday music out there? Let your inner Scrooge come out and share your least favorite Christmas song with the rest of us!!!

As far as Christmas music in general is concerned, I think "Jingle Bell Rock" is pretty damned offensive. But when it comes to traditional Christmas carols, it's hands down the Swedish song, "Nu är det jul igen". It drives me up the wall.

I like the Chipmunks but not that song, nor Santa Baby. Generally, I looooooooove Christmas songs, but more the traditional songs.

I think carols are religious Christmas hymns--in that category, although I appreciate the story behind it and know it is loved by many, I find Silent Night to be a bit overused and not one of my favorites. In terms of Christmas songs like the kind you hear on "All Holiday" radio, boy, there are plenty I don't like---"Happy Holidays", "Last Christmas" by Wham, "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas", "Santa Baby" as mentioned above...Plenty!

I have another to add to the list - the version of Jingle Bells done in dog barks. It's cute once, maybe even twice, but after that it gets really annoying really fast! Oh, oh, oh, and I can't stand Trans Siberian Orchestra's version of ANY holiday music - ugh.

Just in case anyone gets the wrong idea, I actually like Christmas music, just think perhaps there should be some quality control out there!
