12 Years

In September I went to back to school after 12 years. I am working on my 3rd online class and loving every minute of it! I earned 72 credits in the early 90's, got inducted in Phi Theta Kappa made the Dean's list 4 semesters but did not get my degree! after I had my son I went to work instead of back to school. Now the college I went to has closed its satelite campuses, but has Online classes and is now a 4 year school instead of a 2. So I decided to get my bachelors in Management and 66 of my credits were still good so I am over half way there. Right now I am working on my term paper for Organizational Behavior. I am writing it on Jung's theories and the MBTI, very interesting, I never knew any thing about this before! Any else returning after such a long time?

I had a 7 year break before I returned. I just started my Senior year! :-D

Kim ~ I returned after 20 years. I enjoy every bit of it, but am unable to afford to continue. I had an A.A. already but wanted the B.A. I pursued several courses om campus of our local college and exceled. I made the Dean's List for the first time in my entire life! I got A's!! I was never an A student when I was young, never. I am good at being a student now despite juggling a family and jobs. I love learning. The university is too expensive and we make too much money to qualify for the grants. I'm toast now. I'm feeling old too--not because I AM. I am feeling that the rest of my schooling would deplete valuable time I want to still pour into the kids and some other passions. It's been tough to excel in college for 3 part-time semesters and then decide to just stop. But we do live out different chapters in our lives. We'll see where the next one takes me. In the meantime, congratulations on your wonderful achievements! You are worth ever moment of your education and beyond. :0)

took me 15, I will graduate with my associates in criminal justice in April 07. I attended Online college as well

Very interesting and congratulations. I am debating going back from my masters but if you don't mind I have a question about online schooling. How did you schedule yourself to commit online? Is there a website which can tell you if the online school is reputable.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I am going through FisherOnline. Their main campus is in Boston, I attended their satelite campus in the early 90's. Very reputable, check em out!

I had a 20 year break between my 2 college diplomas .... only a few years between the latter and my current run at getting a university degree. Only been in the last couple of years that we've had the option of local university courses... they're offered at the college I go to now ....I'm loving it (mostly!)
