I'm real uncertain about this. I'm going with "somewhat likely". GWB still seems to be doing a good job at making enemies around the world and, as far as I've been able to tell, he's been doing nothing to alleviate the conditions that allow the terrorist groups to form the conclusion that they must rid us of our own evils.
Our government cannot protect us 100% from all potential threats, so as long as we're considered a target, we're at risk of another major attack.

On a given day, it's a possibility. Terrorist attacks seem to happen somewhere every day.
But the more you think about the possibility, the more likely it is to be attracted to you.

Think about a day of no attacks. A day of living a normal, productive, full of wonder life for everyone in the world.

Well Carol, Terrorist and the way that we, especially George Bush and his believers define them is "IF YOU AIN"T WITH US YOU ARE AGANIST US" leaves the door open for all kind of crazies. So anything that happens in the United States from train wrecks to school shootings and hurricanes can be called a terroist attack. The crazies will always be around and a long as the news media, especilally television, publicize the events they are not likely to slack off.
But I beleive that the real terriost are more interested in keeping us out of their country as they have always been. Even back when I had business in their country they didn't want us there, but that was the only way that they could get the mighty US dollar to finance the development of their great natural resources. Well we played their game until at last all that they need is our market place and are able to hold us hostage to our need for their oil. The moral of this story is, "STAY AWAY FROM THE HORNETS NEST AND YOU WONT GET STUNG"

I think it is very likely. It has happen tomany time sin the past. The terrorist will figure out another way to kill alot of people at once.

I think Bush's disastrous policies in the Middle East -- the war in Iraq obviously the most egregious -- have made it more likely that we will have an attack. It will be at a time and place of the terrorists' choosing. Perhaps a message to any new administration? The claim that we fight them in Iraq (where they weren't!) so we don't have to fight them here is so ludicrous it amazes me to hear it repeated from time to time. The terrorists are decentralized and have the money and expertise to attack us if they think it will do them some good. We aren't tying them down in Iraq to any significant degree. It would have been less likely if we had confined ourselves to Afghanistan and really rooted out the bad guys. To sensible to hope for.

Not very likely. The US has one of the best intel systems in the world, and we work with most of the nations on earth to discover any terrorist plots that are directed at the US or its interests. It's been 6 years since the last terror attack on US soil, and dozens of plots have been uncovered. Its no coincidence that that happened. We dont really have anything to worry about, but that does not mean we should get over confident. Keep up our guard, and we wont have to worry about another terror attack.

I am more terrorized by the actions of the Bush administration, both in what it might bring upon us by arrogance to other nations, and what it might do to bring about what might appear to be an outside attack that will make them feel justified to declare marshall law, and even postpone or cancel the 2008 elections

I believe it to be somewhat likely. No matter how vigilant we are, there are too many crazies out there to catch them all. I hope it never happens.

I think, unfortunately, very likely. They hate us, they seem to have the means to do it, and the numbers. Terriifying and disturbing thought.

Not very likely. IF we're talking about foreign terrorists.

"Big" terrorism successes are not common - there's a great deal to go "wrong". As long as our soldiers and UN forces are in the middle east where the most fervent pocket of anti-US terrorists are forming (understandably), they will probably take advantage of our soldiers as targets because of the accessibility.

As for a home grown terrorist (with whatever wacky concept flits in their brain from one day to the next) - that I'm less sure about. We've had plenty and there are plenty of wackos here still.

Wait, wait, just realized you didn't specify location.

Don't know. From where I stand, how do I tell a "terrorist action" against our soldiers in Iraq from a patriotic attack intending to drive invaders from a home country.

I don't have that much confidence that the 'plots' we've uncovered were in the main serious -- we had to drop the charges against Padilla and that professor in Florida, and the other ones I've heard about have been like a bad junior high school play. Mainly we are told we've broken up plots, but we have no details. The level of ineptitude in this government is so high it'll take a lot to restore my confidence. What's saving us in part, I think, is that these guys want to repeat the towers success...something big and splashy. That's hard to do, but they've got time, and they only have to be successful once. Security in a country as big as ours is not easy to come by.
I guess I woul have to say "somewhat likely," because I don't see the underlying issues being resolved that encourage that type of group to perpetrate that kind of violence.

the biggest problem is that where bin Laden may take credit for any and all attacks the question is who many of these people has he ever met or even spoken with? They are simply groups with no clear leadership out there on their own. they adopt a philosophy and the bin laden takes credit for it without ever lifting a finger

Since the neocons (fascist) are determined to attack Iran, I think it is almost certain. I have not forgotten that Rumsfeld and Cheny took control of our air defenses on 9/11 and forced NORAD to stand down.

The next attack will be found to be sponsored by Iran and will result in marshall law and an expansion of the war. (the very profitable war)

Well, unfortunately I think it's very likely and honestly I can't believe they (whoever they are) haven't been more aggressive in attacking us here. Like you said, "THOSE WHO WISH TO HARM US I BELIEVE ARE ALREADY HERE." And we have been very lucky. Hopefully I'm wrong and it won't happen again.

I guess I would say "somewhat likely" although I pray it doesn't happen. I think with the climate of the world today, anything is possible. I certainly thought about it for just a brief moment when I was at a football game this weekend with 62,000 people.
