Rudy Giuliani sure looked good on 9/11 being out and about instead of in a central command location in a position to actually be effectivly in charge. How else was the media supposed to witness his leadership ability if he is in a central command location? I guess it turned out well for him that he had chosen WTC 7 to be his central command in the case of a terrorist attack against the fire department's advice or else he may have never been America's Mayor. Talk about dumb luck. Unfortunately his dumb did not always produce luck. Take it from America's heroes, the FDNY and the IAFF, the International Association of Firefighters as they explain the real reason why so many of their brethren were lost in the towers while every police officer made it out. It was not as Rudy explained to the 9/11 commission. They did not disobey.

WNBC catches Giuliani getting 'tripped up' by 9/11 activist
2007.05.30 | rawstory.com | by David Edwards and Muriel Kane
On Tuesday, members of a 911 truth activist group confronted former Mayor Rudy Giuliani at a New York fundraiser about the fall of the World Trade Center.
"How come people in the buildings weren't notified?" asked one member of the group. "And how can you sleep at night?"
Giuliani's politely-phrased response, caught by WNBC newscameras filming the event, was "I didn't know that the towers were going to collapse."
That response contradicts remarks the former New York City mayor made about being warned about the collapse during a phone interview with onetime ABC anchor Peter Jennings on September 11, 2001, as shown in a transcript WNBC obtained from the Giuliani 2008 campaign.
Giuliani told Jennings, "I -- I went down to the scene and we set up headquarters at 75 Barkley Street, which was right there with the police commissioner, the fire commissioner, the head of emergency management, and we were operating out of there when we were told that the World Trade Center was going to collapse. And it did collapse before we could actually get out of the building, so we were trapped in the building for 10, 15 minutes, and finally found an exit and got out, walked north, and took a lot of people with us."
The following video from We Are Change and infowars.com juxtaposes the two quotes.

I suppose all the firefighters in the hospital visits he did prior to 9/11 don't count, I suppose the fact his own uncle was a firefighter doesn't count.... I suppose that he as a Republican Mayor in a Democrat controlled city was able to curtail crime, curtail spending and increase th equality of life doesn't count....
I see a proven record of success and leadership in Mayor and soon to be President Guiliani
"We have the remains of dead heroes at the garbage dump because of Giuliani and his administration and they're still there today and they won't remove them." -FDNY Deputy Chief Jim Riches
Are you trying to imply that the leader of the IAFF scripted the stories that are being told by the members of the FDNY and their families?
Anything for or against Giuliani can be considered "politically motivated" at this point since he is running for president. As to your point for what counts: 1) No, photo ops do not count 2) being RELATED to a firefighter does NOT count (LOL) 3) Increasing Equality!? Please. That is ridiculous. So NO that doesn't count either. What counts is: 1) the fact that he lied to the 9/11 commission to protect his image 2) He makes bad decisions where it counts 3) He pretends to not think that American Foreign Policy did not provoke 9/11 so that he can get the votes of those who wish to remain ignorant 4) He is using the heroism of those he let down drive his campaign for the presidency. Not a proven leader. A proven politician who is all rhetoric and no conscience which might just win him the Republican nomination.
Giuliani was warned many times that the WTC was a poor choice for the Command Center. Like Bush, the Mayor strong-armed the proposal through acquiescent city agencies.
Given the history of the 1993 bombing, he was warned particularly about the vast stores of fuel that would be vulnerable at that location. But, no one ever succeeded in getting this bullying fascist to listen to others.
There is a great deal of resentment in New York about Giuliani's cuplability in the collapse of Building 7.
It is noteworthy that he declined to run for the Senate against Hillary, and would lose the Presidential vote in New York, too.
