Exactly how does one go about losing emails?
Is it like: Whoops, I deleted them, and they are lost and gone forever?
Schucks! I wish someone would have had the foresight to set up email servers to back up every email sent through them especially since we are fighting this War on Terror and all.
Oh wait one gosh darned finger lickin' second! Email servers do that after all. Do not worry Mr President and Mr Attorney General, your emails are retrievable, that is unless someone went through the trouble of tracking all the servers the emails made it to and deleted them, but why would someone do that? Believe me there are no shortage of people willing to help you find them.
Me no understand computers neither. Me still think people live in our TVs, and we should worship them and make unto them golden statues in their likeness.

Of course, this administration has been all politics, all the time, so that there has been no attention to the nation's business (witness Katrina, veteran's affairs, management of the war, etc.) at any time.
Of course the e-mail is retrievable, of course the bushies know how devastating the revelations will be.
If the consequences for this nation were not so dire, it would be entirely delicious to watch the GOP melt down.
Me have faith in the people in my TV. For them Justice always prevails. ;)
Peter,
If there was one thing brought about by the Bush Administration, it is the wider spread of knowledge that the status quo in Washington relies on lying, cheating, and distortion to enact policy that will create a nice return for cronies and special lobbying interests and that people will do anything to ensure that it will always be this way. This needs to change no matter how dire the consequences. It is always darkest before the dawn, and the dawn is most "delicious".
See the Daily Show's take. There are two clips.
Because the dog eat my email just won't cut.
Thou shalt not blasphemy thou TV set thus saith Murdoc. As it is seen on TV, so it is, so shall it ever be, amen.
