I'm not even going to comment further on this, just steer you to the Wall Street Journal's article on Ms. Palin, and her main project in Wasilla as Mayor.

Usa Today has McCain/Palin up by 10% by likely voters! I am so fired up I could shoot a moose!
Sandy I have no problem with a local tax for paying for something the locals want. That is called a "community". People's money paying for the betterment of their community is a good thing. Handing it over to Washington is a bad thing. Sandy you need a refresher course on conservatism 101.
Either way, Palin pissed off a lot of cronies in Alaska and I am sure you liberals for the first time in your lives will feel sorry for them. In case you didn't notice, a judge appointed by the previous republican governor that, Palin ruined because of corruption, overruled his previous judgement after the shit hit the fan up there. Doesn't pass the smell test to me and I'll be waiting for the other sides point of view.
When you get breathless after reading the latest poll results, try breathing into a brown paper bag and find a happy place.
Boy when are you gonna start using the head on top of your shoulders to do your thinking?
I really like that one!
At the Iowa State Fair we have what is called a corn poll.
People walk by a big tub and they are handed a piece of corn and they drop the kernel into whichever pot...Obama or McCain...so it is like casting a corn ballot.
Obama won.
This is just about as scientific and accurate as any other poll I have seen.
And I believe Obama won by a pretty good corn margin.
sharon I thought you might
Calm down and smell the coffee.
And if not maybe you should.
I outed you Cindy:)
I just invited her to join a couple of days ago...so she is just learning the ropes here.
I thought he wasnt going to vote for McCain.
No we arent really related Cob...you were adopted...oops didnt anyone tell you?
Is Cob going to bring a power cord over for my portable DVD player tomorrow? And did my hubby leave his Bud racing hat at your house?
Appreciate the link to the article! It was quite interesting.
Are you trying to make the claim that there are liberals in Alaska? Impossible, it's too much like Idaho! But I would appreciate it if you would define what you mean by "liberal." Are you talking about a true, left wing radical or are you talking about Democrats in general? There is a massive difference! So I need your specific definition.
You mean those people who aren't embarrassed to make a celebrity of an inexperienced twit?
I am off to bed....have a good one all.
Cindy keep Cob off your computer no good will come of it.
Women are vicious ~ and I think we've all come to know that the devil in the blue dress won't hold back. Our silver fox has to come out in a blaze of glory.....and go out the same way.
Obama/Biden '08!
Jeff, I'd stand in line for an hour to drop a corn kernel into a bucket if it will get the Democrats back into the White House. (One can trust the measurement of a few buckets of corn kernels with much greater ease than the Republican-Diebold equipment.)
You mean those people who aren't embarrassed to make a celebrity of an inexperienced twit? "
Sandy, I thought you supported Obama?
Well, Wilma, I guess you won't be watching her interview with ABC will you.
Uh Oh, I sense the "kernels" of election "fixing." Things must be looking dim for Barack!
Easily entertained aren't you Jim.
"At the time, with the information she had, [Ms. Palin] made the right decision," Mr. Leonard said.
"All I can say about the sports complex is that it was done on time and under budget," said Donald Moore, a Palin ally who managed the construction. "It was done legally, and for someone else to say it could have been done differently in a better way, that's strictly their opinion."
If nothing frightens you that much, then I must assume that you've been asleep for the past eight years, or are a firm believer in Pax Americana!
Why wouldn't he be saying this, he built and profited from the construction. I wonder if it was a no bid contract, myself
Now Ron, you were mentioning something about a sports complex?
They did witch-hunter's costume's round here and YEP, OBAMA (& supporters) won. Now they can both go out trick o'treating as themselves.
(The truth is OBAMA/BIDEN-& supporters) went on a witch hunt, a couple-but we must forget that.
-TYPICAL-DEMOCRAT-STYLE
HAPPY HALLOWEEN-gonna go back to coal mining. see some of them stupid housewife's with their desperation, instead usually ya see hard-working folks. Guess it's boiling down to the "Folk's vs/OBAMA/BIDEN, anyway.
You're full of....well, TOS prohibits that, but Obama spoke out against the use of her daughter, her family, etc. as political footballs, and as for her record, that's fair game, and pretty damning, as well. Get over that one, or don't, I could care less, but it's hardly unethical to point to your opponent's record, McSame has done about only that, as the lineup of his lies at snopes and factcheck prove. You seem to be full of anger over something, would you care to tell the truth about what it is?
Come on Kay, the drill baby drill folks all know themselves it's a nod to big oil, and will not do a bit of good for the consumer for years and years. I can't believe you're still plying that line of crap.
She's a real loon!!! Very smart, and quite willingly devious, but a loon, just the same.
It's very interesting that the right wingnut jobs are always the ones so willing to blatantly, and brazenly, bold faced lie.
The last seven years has resulted in an income growth for the working class slightly less than the cost of inflation! This puts the working person in a less favorable position than in many years.
Of course, I long for the days when the working man was in his heyday and constantly gaining on the process! We had terrible high taxes but the middle class was doing great and growing at an unprecedented rate. Those high taxes didn't seem to slow things down like they are afraid they might today. Even when the top rate was over 90%! I'd not personally agree to a rate anywhere near that high, but the point is, the nation prospered.
You are not deluding yourself into the idea that drilling will lower energy prices are you? I favor approving the drilling for a variety of reasons but I don't kid myself into thinking that it will lower energy prices or improve the economy. One of my big reasons is to get the subject of drilling off the table as it is confusing a coherent energy policy now. We must actively promote the development and use of alternatives as well as conservation. Alternatives, to me, include nuclear, but not ethanol. Wind, solar, bio fuel, tides, nuclear, hydrogen and conservation are what comes to mind. Clean coal is out as it is a contradiction in terms.
And I agree that we need to get a comprehensive policy and believe that Obama supports such, including drilling and nuclear where appropriate. As long as it is part of a comprehensive package. That sound quite reasonable to me.
