His point being that 9/11 unified the people of our country and this has been forgotten is something for all to think about. It's just not worded too delicately. With some of the political and social editorials that I've read lately, this is not shocking.
I wonder if he's willing to volunteer himself and his family to be the first to die in the "new 9/11."
We'll have another attack, I'm certain of it. My "gut feeling" *ha ha* is sometime in the last week of this month. Probably a series of attacks in different cities, and the devastation will probably be worse than 9/11.
I hope I'm wrong. But there are way too many signs pointing to it to ignore.
I think it was just meant to be an exaggeration and an example of how the political polarity in the country has made us forget that we're all Americans. I don't think the writer really wants another 911. He's just overemphasizing a point. I'm not saying that he couldn't or shouldn't have tried to prove it another way, but he's obviously overcome by the negativity and ultimate hatred that has become a hallmark of partisanship in the US.
This is not the first time I have heard this suggested. Personally, I think some sick people want something like this to happen just so they could say, "See, I was right!"

So they can hold on to their power. Iraq proves this administration has no qualms about killing innocent people.

Kind of like the anti-war party of defeat that hope for bad news in Iraq (aka more death and destruction by terrorists) so that they can say "see I was right!!" in regards to the war.
Don you must think everything is a bid conspiracy. The Republicans are not all evil like the democrats are not all good. Just stop the hate, we are all Americans
