The only threat I see is the Bush doctrine of pre-emption which, so far, has been blatantly wrong in terms of imminent threat.
Iran has openly admitted to having nuclear technology and have even given the IAEC a pass at looking at it.
Also, understand the fact that Israel, a strong American ally, has not admitted to having nuclear WEAPONS although it is known and has been proven.
Would Iran be wrong for lying about a nuclear program in comparison?
In my patriotic american opinion, Iran had better arm themselves atomically. Without such deterrent, who knows where King George Bush will strike next? Notice the keyword DETERRENT. Not supporting aggressions with nuclear technology but a nice symbol that will keep Bush away from Iran like kryptonite keeps away Superman.
However, I also would like to point out that just because a country has nuclear capabilities does not mean they are a serious threat to a country.
