OSHGOSH FLY IN

We attended this fly in or the EEA show in Oshgosh Wisconsin in July of 2006.

We did some volunteer work here and had a great time. Except for the heat we did not enjoy the HEAT. It wasn't just hot it was MUGGY HOT!

Any ways I have attached some plane pics to the right and there where old war birds there and hand built stuff so hope you will enjoy taking a look...

We were on Vacation and on the way back to Michigan, we were going through Ohsgosh and I ran a red light. Just happen to be a police car right behind me. Of course he stopped us. Asked where we were going, we told him we were trying to find our way out of town and the road to Michigan. The officer said, "I could see you were looking at a map, (now,now my wife was looking at the map). He told us to turn left at the light we had just ran, then right and the next light and that road would take us to Michigan. I looked at the officer name tag, his name was J. Friday, came close to asking if his first name was Joe....

Being a former Minnesotan, my hubby and I always wanted to attend the Oshkosh Fly-In. He loved old war planes, never making it as he passed away...moral of the story, do those kinds of things when ya can!

Air shows are really amazing! Sounds like you had a nice stay there. Your pictures turned out very well. I like the one with the planes flying overhead.

We get a lot of air shows here Jewel I love the old planes ( not sure I would want to fly in one ) but the shows are always fun! Thanks for sharing

How long ago were you there....Oshgosh is cold country after Sept 15th.......in fact muggy maybe would be in August.....Have family up that way...talk about beauty this time of year.....!!! nice photo...Do you fly - and were you in the show?

No don't fly I voluntered in the craft booth and then some crafters canceled so I myself became a class teacher doing scrapbooking. It was mostly to ocupy the kids at the show...

Jewel, really cool photos (rhyme intended). I've been to a couple of awesome airshows... pretty big thing in the PacNW where I'm from, but not so big here in New England. Thanks for sharing the great photos.

Air shows are great to go to for something to do this one had so much more then the air show they held classes for builders and pilots alike. they had the woman of war I think they where called the wasps. probably wrong on that. they had a tent that teens could go into and learn how to build a plan it was a good time for all...
