People are beginning to feel sorry for President George W. Bush. And with good reason.
Talking heads on television now discuss whether Bush is an idiot!!
A new poll by Harris Interactive published in the Financial Times reveals that our traditional
European allies regard the United States as a much greater threat to world stability than Iran, Iraq and North Korea.
In European opinion, the axis of evil is Bush's America.
Almost twice as many British, whose Prime Minister Tony Blair is complicit in Bush's war crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq, see the
United States as the greatest threat to world stability than see Iran as the danger.
Another reason to feel sorry for Bush is because he is regarded by his own political party and his own attorney general as a war criminal.
Republicans recognize that Bush has committed felonies by violating the U.S. War Crimes Act of 1996
The fact that retroactive law is prohibited by the U.S. Constitution adds to Bush's shame.
Bush is also pitied because
a large majority of Americans no longer believe in the single overriding cause of Bush's presidency -- the "war on terror."
A recent Ipsos-Public Affairs poll released by The Associated Press shows that
60 percent of Americans believe that Bush's invasion of Iraq has created more terrorism and that
Americans are less safe as a result of invading Iraq.
Talking heads on television now discuss whether Bush is an idiot.
Bush evokes more pity, because
he has lost the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The U.S. puppet government is powerless and dares not leave its U.S.-protected fortified bunker.
On Sept. 5, the dominant Shiite political alliance prepared legislation that would divide Iraq into Kurd, Sunni and Shiite autonomous regions.
So much for "democracy in Iraq."
Apparently, no one has told Bush that he is spending American lives and money on a cause that the Iraqis themselves have abandoned.
Bush still crows about his defeat of the Taliban!!
Those of us who have served in the government at high levels wonder every day about Bush's daily briefing. Does he get one? Who gives it to him? I think Bush's briefing must come from Dick Cheney, Richard Perle and William Kristol. Where else could he get such bogus information?
"Afghanistan is spiraling into uncontrollable violence." The Taliban have regained control over half of the country:
"Despite the international community's concerted five-year focus on military operations,
the security situation in Afghanistan is worse than in 2001.
The Taliban now have a strong grip on the southern half of the country. Afghans perceive that the United States and NATO troops in southern and eastern Afghanistan are being defeated by the Taliban.
Bush has defeated no one, but he has destroyed American's reputation and his own!

I think I am amazed that Bush has been allowed to go so far without criminal charges or assassination.
He has corrupted and intimidated all the institutions and the people that can bring charges against him.
W is often confused, incoherent, and can't from an ordinary sentence. His speech writers have been instructed to avoid any words that are more than 2 syllables long, because he can't pronounce them!
The axis of Evil is Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld-Frist.

You Republicans are pathetic. You actually think WAR will solve America's problems. And the fact that Bush doesn't sway with the consensus is actually a bad thing. DEMOCRACY: A government of, for, and by the people. The people's opinions are supposed to matter more than the presidents.
The problem with Bush lovers is the same thing that happened in Nazi Germany: past delusionals like them were loyal to Hitler instead of to Germany just as today's counterparts are loyal to Bush rather than to America. The hatred that there reich wing delusionals have for this great country cannot be more obvious. History is replete with pathetic examples of societies where similar loyalties existed. A thought occurred to me --- you likely recall how Bush laughed at not finding WMD or how he laughed at the thought that his war was illegal ('nobody told me...' he said). But notice how he isn't laughing anymore.
Maybe, just maybe, the thought that his actions are criminal and that he needs to account for them is finally becoming clear to his drug crazed mind.

Anyway, it's a sad situation that makes one wonder how it ever got pulled off in the first place. Olbermann seems to be able to speak more freely than most of the others. It's nice to know that at least one mainstream newsman can.....

It is written in red ink just on top of the title of your article. It is still there as of 9:24 pm this evening.
This whole debate will be a joke to the Republicans if they somehow manage to keep control of both houses of congress. If the American people let that happen again then we deserve what we get which will be more of this governance for the benefit of large corporations and wealthy people. So instead of just talking about this we need to get out the vote for Democrats in congress in November. If we do not then we will be the pitiful nation with no integrity for 2 more years.
May be some Republicans are starting to wake up and are noticing that W is a fantastic con artist!

Nope sorry I read it again and again and I still don't see any actual facts that back up the claims you make. Not one item above says the president is now a dictator. The truth is it is simply a collection of repeated results from opinion polls and a couple of news stories.
Now I don't really care if you accept these as facts that's your right. But to spread this kind of editorialized opinionated fluff and have others believe it is disturbing. The death of the USA will come when propaganda replaces the truth and every one believes it. The voters can handle a little misfortune and they accept that our leaders are human but playing word games and making statements that you can't back up is intolerable.

The big picture is that W's true mission has been accomplished and the US is for the most part a Dictatorship! Some 30% of the people are totally in a denial of the truth and refuse to accept that Democracy is practically on it's death bed.
