I don't claim to be a political or military analyst . I am just a sometimes adequate poet with somewhat odd views. But it seems so obvious to me if the "insurgents" in Iraq would simply stand down and stop killing people and blowing things up for about six months then the Americans could say we won, pack up and go home. Then the insurgents could take over the county by killing a half dozen of the members of that Gilbert and Sullivan government. This would scare the be jeepers out of what passes for an army and the police. They then would join "Insurgents" and the show would be over. There would be little or no chance of the Americans going back nor would anyone else from Bush's "Coalition of the Willing."
But they are fundamentalist. And they know they are right. And they have read a teeny tiny part of the Koran that says kill unbelievers. You know killing is a lot like pornography. At first it is difficult to swallow but as you get used it doesn't seem to have the same kick. The people that publish porn know that so they keep upping the anti with more and more lurid materials. It is the same with killing. The first one is hard. The second, not so hard. After that the adrenalin rush kicks in. The reaction of the media helps too. They give more coverage to someone beheaded that one shot in the head even though the result is just the same.
The moral of this disjointed tail is that Fundalmentism leads to a destruction of the reasoning faculties. This applies to Religion and Politics, foreign or domestic

I fought in Iraq, I know it is Halliburton's war, and I am back in the United States to defeat the lies of drones like you and promote the truth. Seriously though take a good look at Cobra II. It is the most extensive review of the war yet, and it was wriiten by two generals.
You fought in Iraq? Tell me what was your MOS? When were you in Iraq? What Unit were you assigned?
