I've come to the conclusion that road rage is justified in most cases. I'm not suggesting gun fire is the proper response. But, have you seen how people drive lately, or can't drive.
My favorite is failing to signal when making a turn. I have even written a book about it. Florida law is somewhat vague about when you are required to signal. I understand that you don't need to signal when there are no other cars around. So I assume that if you are at a red light at 3 a.m. and there are no cars in sight if can drive through.
In my short drive today I witnessed many infractions, one of which brought out my road rage. At a three road intersection in Dania, Florida near John Lloyd Park, the traffic from the exit onto A1A from the bridge doesn't have to stop. This setup confuses many drivers who are unsure of what to do, so they slow down or come to a complete stop. The confusion is similar to a 4 way stop where the stop signs are not labeled as such. You are never quite sure whether the car on the right or left is going to stop.
The confused driver in front of me today started slowing down before turning left, which he didn't have to do. I was just about ready to give him the horn when the car on the right, coming out of the park, drove right through the stop sign and turned left in front of us. We were all lucky that the car in front of me was confused, otherwise the car on the right would have smacked into him, or worse into me. My adrenalin starting pumping and I quickly rolled down the window and yelled, "That was a F...ing stop sign." I felt better and maybe the lady in the car may stop the next time. Let the record show that I do not own a gun. But, isn't this attempted manslaughter?
Some of the other things I saw in a ten minute span were as follows: failure to stop at a light before turning right, changing lanes or turning without signaling, knowing to want to turn right after going around the corner; you are in the left of two left turn lanes and then cut in front of me to get to the right, stopping at a red light and inching forward over the cross walk so I can't see as I'm turning right, while waiting for a red light you keep moving forward into the intersection like you're in a big hurry and when the light does go green you just sit here talking on the cell phone, following too close behind me, driving with your fog lights on with no fog, and parking on the lines taking up two spots at the supermarket.
These are just a few of the things I see every day. The police never see such things as they are hiding behind a bush with a radar gun. I'll leave you with a driving tip that applies especially to SUV drivers who can't park and judging from all the rollovers, can't drive either. When you are parking a car that is too big for you to handle, put the damn cell phone down.

{Gulp!} I'm skeert of drivin' in the 'lower 48' now!
I lived in FL and thought that was the worst state to drive in because of all the older people who drive in the left lane for 6 miles because they want to eventually turn left. And the ones who go 40 in a 65 mph zone. But then I moved to Cincinnati, where everyone must have had the same driving instructor. Either that or they were all born with a defec that makes them cross over the yellow line (and never know where it is) and have head-on collisions. There are so many head-on accidents here. It's scary to drive.
