Recently when looking through Ljdrama, I noticed an new version of the old tale. A non-lesbian female posts something in some feminist community that mentions her sexuality, and out comes the bitching. It is funny how some of the people who complain that people see feminism as a group of annoying, petty, hypocritical bulldykes happen to be annoying, petty, hypocritical bulldykes who constantly refer to themself as the trve face of feminism.
When the poster mentions that she is being harshly judged by her sexuality, a lesbian corrects her with this little paraphrased line.
"OMG! How can you say that? Until you have been forced to leave your house because of your sexuality, you can't complain!"
In other words, unless you are kicked out of your house for your sexuality, you have never been oppressed or attacked for it in a way that you can claim you are oppressed or attacked. If a young man is beaten up every day and called faggot, he has nothing to complain about until he is kicked out of his house. Sigh.
Another argument I have seen with my own two eyes is that black people can not be racist, because to claim so is to say that slavery was no big deal. For anyone (anyone) to claim that a black man can be racist is the same thing as claiming that the black man's actions are exactly the same as slavery. That is stupid for a few reasons. The main reason being is that many forms of slavery throughout the history of mankind has been part of the cultures of non-whites. A quick looksy around will show many cultures who featured slaves as part of their culture, long before America was even saying 'sup to the world. Slavery is like hanging someone up on a cross, it was normal for a while until one example of it was seen as a much bigger deal than all other examples of it. To directly connect all slavery to white on black racism ( aka the Civil War business) is just stupid if you look at the bigger picture of slavery. Hell, slavery isn't even gone now that the Civil War has been over for a while now, it is just in parts of the world people don't care about.
That is what really bugs me about these so called "caring" people who accuse just about everyone else of being self-centric, and yet only talks about "human rights" in the sense of what THEY (as in the person talking) don't have. I've seen this. Example, if they are talking about gay rights, they will only talk about how in America gay marriage is not legal. Now, I agree that it is stupid that gay marriage is not legal, mainly because the whole "WE MUST KEEP MARRIAGE SACRED" thing is bullshit. Let's call a spade a spade here and say that straight marriage is not a sacred thing anymore. People get hooked up and divorced in less than a month all the time around this country. To me, getting married to someone and divorced in the next breath is more of a mockery of what marriage is supposed to be more so than gay marriage is. But, I digress... they will mostly talk about their own problems and not mention the big picture. They don't think about the countries where gay bars are often "busted" under laws that relate to the immoral nature of homosexuality. They can go home after going to the pride parade and think it is so horrible how oppressed they are, not thinking that in other countries any gathering, any gathering, of queers has to be underground. They don't think about countries where someone chanting "I'm here, I'm queer, get used to it!" can suddenly change to "I'm in jail, I shit in a pail, and cops beat me within an inch of my life" in a second.
If you want people to take your "People need to think about the rest of the world, like I do, be more worldly" high and mighty bullshit seriously, stop focusing so much on your own issues.

A few dozen surveys/studies show that conservative Christians get divorced at the same rate as the non- religious and in name only Christians.
Holy Matrimony!
The only comment I will make is this...
The only reason I am against homosexual marriage is this... They cannot advance the human race... Sure you can attack back with children happen outside of marriage all the time, but children cannot be created by male on male or female on female sex ever. (well not without outside help.) With that being said. I find it completely inhumane to deny two people who love each other the right to share everything, there has to be a middle ground.
I do not support the title homosexual marriage but I would support a new lexicon that allows for the same type of benefits that marriage brings the rest of us non-homosexual to the homosexual community. People shouldn't be outcastes, or treated like second class citizens simply because they are homosexuals… Homosexual marriage, no… Something just like it but under a different name… yes!
BTW, the reason I am not using the word gay? Because I refuse to use deflective word to describe anything or any person… In order for the rest of society to be comfortable with homosexuals, they have to first be comfortable with who they are and stop hiding behind words that deflect their own sexuality, if your homosexual say it... I mean no one can be happy all the time.
It's not politically correct, but then again, I think politically correct people are afraid to be grownups...

So should sterile people not be allowed to marry?
Coochie-coo!

We should stop trying to be a society of victims. People aren't "doing" anything to you. Get off your ass and make your own road. I'm tired of folks saying that they would have a good life if only 1. their boss/employers paid them more, 2. they didn't have to spend so much money on necessities, 3. corporations are sucking their lifeblood, so on so on. Listen, if you hate your life, change it. It's in your power. You just have to work hard and change your mind set.
As to the does not advance the human race, I believe that is definitely up for discussion. Do you want to clean up a seedy part of town, or give an economic pick up a town that is slowly crumbling into neglect? Import gays. Let's face it folks, as much as it may perplex us heterosexuals, the most important group of urban pioneers are the gays. Gays move in low income move out, gays make the place hip, straights move in and gays move out and displace another economically downtrodden population. The key players in gentrification are the gays. So is that advancing the human race? I think so.
…or I could be wrong!

I would make sure that you follow your own advice, Joe.
