Thank you to everyone who submitted entries to the December Short Form Writing Competition! The entry period is officially closed but there are still two more weeks of voting so please continue to read and rate all of the amazing work submitted by the contestants.

Submissions received by December 31, 2006 will be posted by January 4th and live for voting through January 18, 2007.

same here. I've also noticed that "amazon shorts" is no longer listed under the "featured tags" on the gather home page. I would think that's going to limit the exposure to our stories once the do get posted. Can we expect to see that change? Thanks.

Realy think you should simplify your web page, out if the eight friends I E-mailed and invited to read my short story, five gave up, while trying to wade through the maze. Hugh

I was very disappointed to learn this is a popularity contest instead of being judged on skill. Most of my friends refused to vote since they had to join gather.com and then receive emails from them. I think you should rethink your criteria for contests.

Actually Michelle, voting ended on the 18th, so it hasn't been that long. I am sure the Amazon Shorts staff have a lot of work ahead of them. I wouldn't expect anything until the second or third week of February.
