Good Morning Everyone,
My 11 year old son was really sick yesterday and since he already had a flu shot back at the beginning of November, I wanted to get him checked out. The doctor looked him over, then asked the mandatory 1001 questions and diagnosed him with migraines.
Now I get migraines, although not as frequently as I used to. I'm feeling bad because I probably passed them on to him, but more importantly, I'm wondering how we can deal with it best. I know that migraines can be triggered by different things(mine are usually stress) but I am not sure what could trigger one in an 11 year old boy. I never had migraines until I was in my 20s, so I'm in new territory here. I'm also concerned about school. Since he has never been one to get sick, I've never had to worry about him being out and making up time.
Anyone out there have a child that gets migraines? Any suggestions of what helps?
I know it will all be alright, I guess I just need some advice on how I can make it as easy for him to handle as possible.

Thanks for posting to Whatever Floats Your Boat
If he gets nauseaus with his headahces which I am guessing he does, since you said he seemed sick, I'd ask his doctor for some medicine for the nausea. I use Tigan when I am affected this way and it helps.
