Everything returns
"Returns are welcome"
is written over the sealed envelope
of his life. His first pet,
which came from near-death
and with his help,
became able to wag its tail;
once ran away.
Of course it did return
the week next.
His boomerang.
His fate.
The gal he chose or she chose him
in his late teen,
told him to stay apart
until one day she returned
to his bay or returned her parts.
"Returns are welcome." He whispers
to the ears of the body.
It remains silent
and deep drawn in sleep
though they call it "wake".
He will wait.
It is his life.
Here everything returns.

I just wanted to say I am finally going through what is now under 5,500 pieces of gather new mail that is in my inbox on here. So with that in mind I have finally come to a piece of mail that was addressed to me in regards this article submission you have created to share with the gather community. Thank you for taking the time and sharing your piece with us here at gather. :o)
And I hope you have a Happy New Year... in 2009 :o)
When you get a moment, please explain this line for me . . .
"to his bay or returned her parts."
This line obviously has meaning for you as the writer, but I am completely lost as to the meaning of this one line.
