Tomorrow morning, we head out to Nevada. Our place is in Eureka, Nevada, a tiny mining town on Highway 50. This town is known as the "Lonliest town on the lonliest road in America". Our house, Isabel, was a gift from the Universe. That's another story. I wanted to show you a few shots of where we will be. I'll still be on the puter but it's a bit slow. Thanks! Salud.
I remember when you wrote about Isabel...you are such a free spirit, I envy that. It isn't my nature...I'm the control freak, always the one making sure things are organized. I guess the world needs us both...and I'm glad we have gotten to "know' each other! Your life continually makes me smile:)
Oh I have my moments of control freak - believe me! I think we are all a little of this or that and that's why we like each other! I know you're more of a neat nut than I - I don't pay attention to the tiny bits of dust flotsam and jetsam but I do look at the big picture!!! Thanks Sue! Always nice to see you! Salud.
Every time I go through one of those forgotten mining towns, I always look at houses too. How I would love to have an escape house like you do! Yours is so fantastic! I love all the rugs you have there. Enjoy yourself!

How long will you be at Isabel? I imagine it's still a little chilly up there in the mountains. I wish I could come see you and Isabel. Maybe someday. I'm still working on Isabel part II. I can't get it like I want it. Is the new book being printed? Talk to you soon, friend girl.

Oh...I didn't mean that I was neat and you aren't! I just meant that traveling from home to home, painting in the sunshine, sipping wine with interesting people...my anxiety keeps me from some of the more "free living" type adventures. I think your house is very neat, and slightly eclectic-I love it! I would love to be a bit more adventurous and just "go with it" sometimes.

A change of scenery can do the soul so much good, although I think your beach is the most serene place I've seen in a while, Isable looks quiet and peaceful as well.

hi Bob - yes, but I'm glad because the weather has warmed up !! I had to finish my book before we left and then had to have dental work done today - finally on the road tomorrow! I had to put off my La. trip until the 25th of June I'll miss Delaune Michel's book signings - I wish I could make it but can't do everything! Salud.

Mariana, I can't say that I've been there---I've driven through there from Reno to Salt Lake City. My dad loved the desert and I've seen miles and miles of it with all the stuff in between. A 9-10 hour drive was my dad's idea of a wonderful day. Hah.
